The story

a calling began to emerge

Before there were flowers...

For a long time, I thought my story had finally begun with floristry.
Yet, before I ever arranged my first bouquet, God was already, quietly, arranging my life.

Weaving together experiences I couldn't yet understand.

Teaching me...

To create.
To lead.
To serve.
To welcome.
To build.

To begin again.

Every celebration.
Every business.
Every table.
Every season of abundance.
Every season of loss.

Nothing was wasted.

At the time, they felt like separate chapters.

Today, I can see they were always part of one beautiful story.

And somewhere along the way, that story became Petals & Purpose.

A place where everything I had been learning — about beauty, purpose, people, hospitality, creativity and faith — could finally come together.

I thought God was arranging flowers.
He was arranging me.

THE wilderness

Where God stripped away everything except what mattered.

There are seasons that feel like flourishing.
And then there are seasons that feel like being led into the wilderness.

Not because you've lost your way— but because God is preparing a new one.

Mine became a season of surrender.

Dreams I thought would last.
Roles I believed would define me.
Plans I had carefully built.
Doors that quietly closed.

For a while, I wondered whether everything I had worked for had been lost.
But the wilderness has a way of revealing what success never can.

It teaches dependence.

It exposes what we've been placing our identity in.

It quiets the noise until the only voice left worth following is His.

What felt like loss was becoming a kind of holy clearing.

Not to leave me empty, but to make space for what came next.

Somewhere in that quiet place...after the striving had ended...

God planted a different seed.

Not simply a business.

A calling.

Petals & Purpose was first conceived in the wilderness...

…long before it ever bloomed in the garden.

THE Garden

Where beauty found its true purpose.

Only after the wilderness did I encounter the “first” garden .

The Garden of Eden wasn't extraordinary because of its trees, rivers or flowers.

It was extraordinary because God was there.

His presence made everything flourish.
That changed the way I saw beauty.

Beauty has always been one of God's languages.
Not to distract us from Him—but to draw us back to Him.

Every flower whispers of a Creator.
Every changing season reminds us that life is held in faithful hands.
Every table prepared with intention quietly says,

“You belong here.”

Petals & Purpose isn't simply a floral business.

It is a response to His presence.

Because beauty was never meant to end with admiration.

It was always meant to lead us into encounter.

The Table

Where beauty became hospitality.

Throughout Scripture, God meets people around tables.

Not because the table itself is sacred—but because of what happens there.

Stories are shared.
Bread is broken.
Strangers become family.
Hope is restored.
Anointing happens.

Flowers have the ability to prepare a place.
But now I understand they prepare something even greater.

They prepare hearts.

Whether it's a wedding, a workshop, a gathering of women or a quiet cup of coffee with a friend...my prayer is always the same:

That every table would become a place where people feel seen, welcomed, and gently reminded of God's goodness.

The Calling

Where everything became one.

The business experience.
The leadership.
The creativity.
The celebrations.
The heartbreak.
The wilderness.
The garden.
The table.

None of it was wasted.

Flowers are not the destination.
They are the invitation.

An invitation to slow down.
To gather.
To notice beauty.
To make room.
To encounter God's presence.

And if someone leaves with more than beautiful flowers—

if they leave feeling seen, encouraged, or just a little closer to Jesus—

then Petals & Purpose has fulfilled its purpose.

Beauty has a way of slowing us down long enough to notice His grace.
